Gareth had a rude awakening at his first training session when he collapsed and had to rest for an hour with ice bags on his head. It turned out that the start of training had not been enough to convince him to take an early night and stay off the beer but he considers it lesson learnt….well nearly. Gareth continues the line of SCC players to take up the challenge at the now legendary Vanda Boxing Club so here he is to tell us how he has been getting on.

Today we meet Carl Griffith who has not only thrown himself wholeheartedly into the training but also the charity aspect. Carl will accompanying Ian and Andy, along with some of the other boxers, when they go to Children’s Surgical Centre in Cambodia on August 16th. You can hear more from Carl at his blog site

Next up on the video introductions is Chris Snell . Chris is already a pretty fit bloke having completed the NY Marathon last year but is very open that this training is a different world. He also shares how he got his fight name that is to the ‘The Pikey”.
